PRINTER-FRIENDLY VERSION
A Job Well Done

By Vic Tulli

Once again, the Friends of Rutgers Newsletter would not have been anything like the publication you're reading now without the talent and hard work of our dedicated team of English Department interns. The project of researching, photographing, and writing articles about the activities of a Department as large and varied as Rutgers English is a big job, and these interns approached the task with aplomb. I admired their eagerness to stretch in new directions, but also their willingness to apply their particular abilities - digging through archives, transcribing interviews, editing photos, proofreading - well beyond the limits of the usual human attention span.

Many thanks to this semester's interns (from left): Jennifer Chu, Julia Chen, Kelly O'Toole, Kasey Cullen, Andréa Mules, and Rachel E. Tomcsik. All will soon be graduating as English majors. I only hope that when they join the long list of our alumni, we can continue to send them newsletters as interesting as the one they made.
