Evie ShockleyEvie Shockley has been awarded a Fellowship by the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture for the academic year 2007-08, and another Fellowship by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), to pursue a project entitled “Renegade Poetics: Black Aesthetics and Formal Innovation in African American Poetry.”
