The Program:
The Milton Seminar, which meets twice a year, consists of about 35 active members, all of whom have published a book or a significant body of work on Milton. Founded in the mid-1970s, the seminar originally included scholars in the state of New York; by the early 1980s it had expanded to include scholars from all over the country. The April 2005 meeting will be the first time the Milton Seminar has met at Rutgers. The lecture and reception on Friday, April 23 are open to members of the Rutgers University community and the general public. The two seminars on Saturday, April 24, are open only to participating members of the Milton Seminar and invited Rutgers University faculty and graduate students.
