In this class you will take your first major steps towards writing a full length screenplay, in any film genre that you choose.  Through group discussions, film analysis, screenings and writing exercises, you will learn all of the basic concepts of writing a film.  The class will focus mainly on the outline, which is an essential and invaluable part of the writing process.  The group will incorporate all of the elements of a finished screenplay, including 3 act structure, dramatic situations, pacing, character choices and dialog.  By the end of the course, the goal is for you to have completed a 5-page detailed outline of your own original screenplay.
