Immediate Action                                                                                                                                                                             

Student is:

  • Threateining the safety of others
  • Acting in a frightening manner
  • Not leaving the classroom after being asked to leave
  • Reporting or initialiting a threat or bomb scare

Call:

  • Rutgers Local Police (911) OR
  • Rutgers Non-emergency Police Department (732-932-7211)

 

Reporting Unusual Behavior                                                                                                                                                              

Student:

  • Does something significantly out of character
  • Act peculiary and causes alarm
  • Displays unhealthy or dangerous behavior

Seeking Guidance or Advice 

Student:

  • Communication indicates loss of touch with reality, seems sad or anxious

Contact:

Student:

  • Communication reflects sexual assault or relationship violence

Contact: 

Student:

  • Has not attended class for an extended period of time
  • Is overwhelmed by a problem with the university
  • Is debilitated or overwhelmed by a  famiily emergency

Contact:

Student conduct that:

  • Substantially impairs, interferes with, or obstructs orderly processes and functions of the Univeristy
  • Deliberately interferes with instruction
  • Is lewd or indecent
  • Breaches the peace

*These offices have on-call 24 hours a day for emergency situations. For all emergencies, please call RUPD and they will get in contact with the appropriate offices.
