Do you need an interesting Humanities course for your distribution requirement? Are you thinking about majoring in English? Or are you just interested in literature?
The English department offers a variety of courses in topics that might interest you. These are courses that both non-majors and majors can take.
(Non-majors can apply them toward the BA, while majors can apply them toward the BA and toward their major in English.) Freshmen can register for a wide variety of 200-level Introductory courses.

Those who have placed out of Expos 101 are welcome to begin the English major -- begin with
Principles of Literary Study 350:219 or 350:220. Both 219 and 220 will need to be taken to complete the major.
