The Anticolonial Working Group is open to students and faculty from all departments who are interested in discussing criticism and literature related to decolonial and postcolonial theories. In other words, this group focuses on knowledges that exist outside of or resist those produced and normalized by the modern/colonial world. We meet roughly twice a semester to discuss literature or criticism, to workshop pieces from students, and to organize talks and events. This group hopes that, through dialogue and engagement, we continue efforts to decolonize our thinking as well the spaces we inhabit.
