Contesting Neo-Racism and Eastern "Backwardness" in recent POLISH AND UKRAINIAN THEATRE
A talk with Professor Ewa Bal, Performance Studies Department, Faculty of Polish, Jagellonian University, Cracow, Poland
Professor Ewa Bal is the author of two monographs on Italian theater and drama: In the Footsteps of Harlequin and Pulcinella: Cultural Mobility and Localness of Theatre (Polish edition 2017, English Edition Peter Lang 2020) and Corporeality in Drama: Pier Paolo Pasolini's Theater and Its Legacies (Polish, 2017). She now heads a research group on knowledge/creative practices in Central and Eastern Europe. Her research group investigates decolonial performance practices in the Global East as well as local performances of cultural minorities from Polish and Ukrainian, Spanish and Italian backgrounds.
