Premodern Antiracist Pedagogy Workshop

When:  Thursday, March 10, 2022, 01:00pm

Where:  Rutgers Center for Cultural Analysis, Room 605, Academic Building1

Category:  Workshop

The Medieval-Renaissance Colloquium at Rutgers University cordially invites you to attend our first ever Premodern Antiracist Pedagogy Workshop, currently scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 10th, from 1 - 2:30pm. Barring changes in the current status of the pandemic, we will be convening in-person at the Rutgers Center for Cultural Analysis, room 6051.

Joined by Profs. Patricia Akhimie (Rutgers - Newark), Reginald Wilburn (University of New Hampshire), and Ian Smith (Lafayette College) for a conversation moderated by Professor Erica Edwards (Rutgers - New Brunswick), this event will explore the intersection of antiracist pedagogy and undergraduate instruction in premodern texts and cultures. While the expertise of our speakers is geared towards the premodern Anglophone context, this event will be of interest to any and all interested in the project of antiracist pedagogy as a whole. The event will be followed by a small catered reception, courtesy of our event sponsors.
