Joyce Carol OatesSave the date for the return of the Writers at Rutgers series. Writers at Rutgers is an exchange between well-known writers of diverse backgrounds and the Rutgers students and faculty. This semester you'll be able to hear from Joyce Carol Oates on Wednesday October 19 at 6 PM with a Q&A session earlier in the day for the Rutgers student community. 

Joyce Carol Oates is a prolific writer known for novels like My Life as a Rat, Carthage, We Were the Mulvaneys, A Garden of Earthly Delights, The Falls, Them and many other books and short story collections. One of her novels Blonde, is now a Netflix series starring Ana de Armas. She is a recipient of the National Book Award, the National Humanities Medal, the PEN/Malamud Award in Short Fiction, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from PEN America, among other honors. She has been a professor at Princeton University for many years and is currently a Visiting Professor for our creative writing and English students at Rutgers.
