Kathleen Graber was born in Wildwood, New Jersey, and taught high school there for a number of years. A Guggenheim and NEA fellow, she has also held the Hodder Fellowship at Princeton, Her second book, The Eternal City was a finalist for both the National Book Award and the National Book Critics Circle Award.

Robin Robertson is one of the leading Scots poets of our time. Based in London, he is an editor for Jonathan Cape, where he curates what is widely considered the U.K.'s finest poetry series. The author of four collections of poetry, he has also translated Transtomer and Euripedes. His work has been awarded the Forward Prize the Scottish First Book Award, and the E. M. Forster Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters; he is a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
