Biography

Susanna Moore is the author of the novels My Old Sweetheart, The Whiteness of Bones, Sleeping Beauties, In the Cut (which she later adapted for the film directed by Jane Campion and starring Meg Ryan), and One Last Look. Inspired by her childhood in Hawai`i she wrote a nonfiction travelogue entitled I Myself Have Seen It: The Myth of Hawai`i. On several occasions she has been a Visiting Fellow at Yale University, and in 1999 she won the Prize for Literary Achievement from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Moore's new novel, The Big Girls, will appear in May 2007. She lives in New York City.
