College Writing (01:355:101) will replace Expository Writing as the required composition class for all first-year students at the university. College Writing introduces students to the strategies and practices necessary to succeed at writing at the university level and beyond, allowing students to reflect upon and develop their strengths as readers and writers at this new stage of their educational careers. Students will develop critical reading abilities and written communication through meaningful and diverse writing projects in a variety of genres, including multimodal composition.
