With a thousand students attending at least five sessions each semester, the Plangere Writing Center on the third floor of Murray Hall is already one of the most active tutoring centers in the nation. Thanks to continued support from Jules Plangere (Class of 1944), Jane Plangere, Rutgers University, and the English Department, the Center just got bigger. A rarely-used adjacent classroom was redesigned and renovated to provide more space for tutoring and for Plangere Center events, including presentations by visiting scholars and Department meetings.
By endowing the Center, and with their continued support, Mr. and Mrs. Plangere have contributed to the success of many thousands of Rutgers students. Rutgers English greatly appreciates all they have done.
