PAVLIC AUTHORAttend this special roundtable discussion with Ed Pavlić and English Department faculty,  "The Uses of the Blues: James Baldwin and Black Music." Led by Professor Maurice Wallace, the roundtable features Rutgers faculty Professor Imani Owens, Professor Naomi Extra, Professor Carter Mathes, Professor Ryan Kernan, and of course Professor Pavlic who is author of Who Can Afford to Improvise: James Baldwin and Black Music, The Lyric and the Listeners (Fordham Univ Press, 2016). 

This event is part of the Writers at Rutgers reading series, and is sponsored by the Department of English, Writers House, SAS, and Black Lab: Experiments in Critical Black Studies.
