  • About:

    Emmett is a third-year PhD student specializing in 20th century fiction, in particular experimentalism in the American novel. His research and writing engages with narrative theory, spatial theory, psychoanalysis, queer/trans studies, black studies, and book history. Emmett is a Graduate Fellow at the Rutgers Initiative for the Book. 

    Prior to joining the Rutgers English Department, Emmett worked as a bookseller, editor, and curator of artists' books, experience which informs his interest in experimental form.
