More About Friends of Rutgers English

Friends of Rutgers English is the newly formed alumni network for the English Department at Rutgers–New Brunswick. We’re still just getting started, and we’re growing. We now have Alumni Career Advisors and Alumni News, with more features are coming soon. But we need your support.

Help us continue to keep you informed about Rutgers English news and events. If you’re reading this newsletter but haven’t signed up with us, sign up now through our website. Signing up is fast and easy and free, and helps us keep track of interested alumni and friends.

Many thanks to all the supporting members of Friends of Rutgers English, who help make our efforts possible.

Supporting the English Department

Rutgers University receives approximately one-third of its budget from New Jersey state appropriations, and twenty-three percent from student tuition and fees. Only generous gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations can maintain the status of Rutgers as one of the top public universities in the nation.

Please consider becoming a supporting member of Friends of Rutgers English with a gift to the English Department of $40 or more. Supporting members receive printed copies of the newsletter and invitations to Rutgers English events. All gifts to Rutgers English are tax-deductible.

You can make a gift to the English Department in three ways:

  1. You can mail us a check directly. Make checks payable to “Rutgers University Foundation,” and mail it to the address on this printable form.
  2. You can donate with a credit card online.
  3. You can designate us as the recipient of your annual gift. Whenever you make a pledge to The Rutgers Annual Campaign, make sure you specify that you’d like your gift to go to the English Department.

If you’d like more information about supporting Friends of Rutgers English, or would like to set up a particular use for your gift, give us a call at 732-932-7612, or write us at for.english@rutgers.edu.
