Dissertation Writing Seminar

The Writing Seminar is open to advanced graduate students who are at the dissertation stage. Run in a workshop format, the seminar is designed to provide support, guidance, and motivation for dissertation writers. Participants are expected to write regularly and to share what they have written. We will discuss forms of argumentation, selection of evidence, the relation of chapters to conference papers and other smaller units of writing, strategies for writing and completing individual chapters. Participants will draft and revise written work across the course of the semester and provide thoughtful, constructive responses to the work of others.
